Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Asset Recoveries & Collections Unit - Credit Risk team in the capacity of:
Assistant Manager -
Credit Reporting Analyst (Grade 3)
Contribute integrally to the review, monitoring and oversight of the Bank’s credit portfolio.
Prepare and disseminate regulatory, board and management reports within specified timelines.
Location: Kingston
As an Assistant Manager - Credit Reporting Analyst, you will:
- Prepare, monitor and coordinate inputs to regulatory reports within mandatory timelines and with highest degree of accuracy.
- Prepare Board and Management Committee credit risk reports on key performance indicators within mandatory timelines and with highest degree of accuracy.
- Provide input to maintain and upgrade the tools used by the Asset Recoveries & Collections team.
- Identify errors in the credit databases and record findings.
- Review and ensure that findings are escalate to the responsible officer for a resolution and are processed in a timely manner with the highest level of accuracy.
- Establish controls to ensure integrity over the gathering of the data, including improved automation of the processes.
- Prepare and ensure accuracy in the manual or system generated data.
- Ensure the relevant retention periods are maintained for storing and disposing of data.
- Improve the integrity of data for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Perform any other job-related duties assigned.
What do you need?
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies, Economics, Statistics or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
- At least three (3) years of experience in regulatory and management reporting.
- Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Resilient under pressure and able to adapt quickly to unforeseen work demands.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work to tight time scale.
- Report writing skills.
