Assistant Grow Out Manager - Pigs

The Assistant Grow Out Manager will be required to work with all contracted and independent farmers across the island to ensure the best possible results are attained while ensuring that each farm adheres to the Company and Country regulations.

Main Function

The Assistant Grow Out Manager will be required to work with all contracted and independent farmers across the island to ensure the best possible results are attained while ensuring that each farm adheres to the Company and Country regulations.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide management oversight of the various grow out farms, working with farms to manage critical processes, management of the maintenance, and sanitation operations on the farm.
• Work with the farms to properly adjust, track and adjust feed consumption and medication protocols.
• Develop and implement procedures for the operations of the farm, in accordance with the guiding principles of the Company and the QMS system.
• Continued planning for improvements in procedures and operations with the aim of improvement in quality and efficiency.
• Direct and co-ordinate with the transportation team and the processing plant the shipment animals.
• Ensure that the CB Group policy, objectives , mission and vision are communicated to staff
• Assist in the recruitment and training of staff on the farms

Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, Experience

• 1^st Degree General Agriculture/Animal Science or Animal Welfare with Farm Management
• Minimum 5yrs of experience of live animal production.
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Competent in the use of spreadsheets and word processing applications
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to make on the spot decisions in various situations
• Strong leadership, time management and organizational skills
