The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a large accounting team

Purpose of the Role

The job requires ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), overseeing the company’s external audits, and producing accurate and timely monthly and annual financial statements.

 

Principal Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the accounting team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in financial reporting.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS.
  • Manage the external audit process, liaising with auditors to ensure smooth, timely, and cost-effective completion.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with corporate governance standards.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
  • Support the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Train, mentor, and develop accounting staff to build a high-performing finance team.

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in senior accounting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Prior experience in external or internal audit (preferred).
  • Proven track record of managing and developing large accounting teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
