Assistant Finance Manager – Reporting and Business Analysis
A well-established food manufacturing company is seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Assistant Finance Manager – Reporting and Business Analysis to support financial reporting, business performance analysis, and strategic decision-making across its operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing financial analyses, identifying business trends, and providing insights that help management manage risk and improve operational performance.
• Prepare management reports and performance analyses, including Balanced Scorecard reports, sales reports, KPI reports, and variance analyses
• Support the timely preparation of monthly management accounts and financial consolidation packages
• Provide analytical and strategic support to management to assist with business performance and decision-making
• Identify financial risks, trends, and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions where necessary
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly financial forecasts
• Maintain income statement and balance sheet schedules, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Maintain the fixed asset register and prepare supporting journal entries and documentation
• Monitor lease agreements and related obligations for retail locations
• Lead or support process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
• Conduct expense analyses and financial reviews for various projects and business units
• Ensure the completion of relevant sections of the Accountants’ Checklist on a monthly basis
• Support management with ad hoc financial analyses and projects
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or ACCA Level II or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar finance or business analysis role
• Experience in financial reporting, performance analysis, and forecasting
• Working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Strong data analysis and financial modelling skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to interpret financial information and communicate insights effectively
• Strong time management and ability to meet tight deadlines
• High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
