The incumbent will perform routine accounting work by applying modern accounting principles and techniques to a variety of recording and accounting matters in a timely and accurate manner so that the General Ledger can provide real-time, accurate data to support financial and management reports.

 

 

Assistant Accountant

The incumbent will perform routine accounting work by applying modern accounting principles and techniques to a variety of recording and accounting matters in a timely and accurate manner so that the General Ledger can provide real-time, accurate data to support financial and management reports.

MAIN DUTIES

  • Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and budgets.
  • Process invoices, payments, and expenses.
  • Reconcile bank statements and accounts.
  • Maintain accounts payable and receivable records.
  • Support in payroll processing and tax filing.
  • Assist in preparing financial audits and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Assist in preparing VAT and other tax returns.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial close processes.
  • Identify and report real and potential issues and non-conformances and suggest possible solutions.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s established good manufacturing practices (GMPs), Food Safety and Quality requirements.
  • Actively promote, support and comply with Kiss Baking Company Limited’s established Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and industry best practices;
  • Performs any other job-related duties as directed by Manager/Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Level Two (2) ACCA or Degree in Accounting
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an accounting/finance environment.
  • Good communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent Time Management skills
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast changing environment with large volumes of data
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
