Artistic Director

The Artistic Director is the creative leader of TPAC and is responsible for shaping, articulating, and executing the Company’s artistic vision.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Artistic Director is the creative leader of TPAC and is responsible for shaping, articulating, and executing the Company’s artistic vision. The incumbent provides high-level artistic direction for all productions, training programmes, and creative initiatives, ensuring excellence across drama, dance, movement, and interdisciplinary performances.

This role includes developing performers’ technique, occasionally writing and directing productions, nurturing artistic innovation, and guiding the organisation’s cultural impact. The Artistic Director collaborates with TPAC’s leadership team to build a vibrant, progressive, and nationally relevant performing arts repertoire.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

• Master’s Degree in Theatre Arts, Directing, Dance and Theatre, Theatre in Education, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience leading artistic programmes, directing productions, and managing creative teams.
• Demonstrated expertise in performance creation, artistic development, and theatre leadership.
• A portfolio demonstrating artistic excellence, writing samples and professional accomplishments will be required.
