Amory Bakery & Café

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Baker to lead our bakery team and oversee the daily production of breads, pastries, and other baked items. This role is perfect for a skilled professional who values consistency, creativity, and collaboration in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities and accountabilites include the following, but are not limited to:

• Lead and manage the daily operations of the bakery production team.  
• Develop and execute recipes for a wide range of baked goods including artisanal breads, pastries, cakes, and seasonal specialties. 
• Maintain high standards of product quality, consistency, and presentation.  
• Monitor inventory levels, place supply orders, and manage ingredient stock to avoid waste.  
• Train, supervise, and inspire bakery staff, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and efficiency.  
• Ensure all baking processes comply with food safety and sanitation standards.  
• Collaborate with management to create new menu items and respond to customer feedback.  
• Track production metrics and adjust schedules or processes to meet demand and minimize downtime.  

Oversee cleaning and maintenance of baking equipment and workstations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Head Baker or Senior Baker in a commercial bakery or similar environment.  
• Expertise in artisan bread-making, pastries, and dessert production.  
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.  
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.  
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures. 
• A passion for baking, innovation, and continuous improvement.
