 The Admissions Officer is responsible for managing the administrative functions of Admission, Registration, Records Management and ensuring quality delivery of services, accuracy, confidentiality and quality of data, thereby assisting to provide a pool of certified and competent workers at world class standards.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

ü  NVQ-J Level 5 Certification or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education Administration, or related discipline

ü  At least (3) years’ relevant work experience in a comparable position and business environment such as a higher education institution, an economic development institution

KEY COMPETENCIES:

ü  Good Written and Oral Communication skills

ü  Use of Business Technology

KEY DUTIES:

ü  Analyzes the applications of prospective Trainees based on standard admission policies

ü  Advises candidates about the programmes offered, admission procedure, eligibility and costs involved

ü  Provides assistance with recruitment activities, candidate interviews, admission publications and information sessions

ü  Provides support to prepare admission related presentations and to co-host orientation for new Trainees

ü  Develops innovative communication strategies and recruitment strategies in coordination with Institution management to attract and enroll more Trainees

ü  Assists with the preparation, implementation and maintenance of operational systems, procedures and standards to guide the admission, registration and assessment functions of the institution

ü  Participates in the preparation of the annual budget, with specific reference to the sectional budget to support the achievement of the institution’s strategic objectives

ü  Prepares and submits activity/performance and reports as required.

ü  Assists with coordination of site visits by Accreditation Evaluation Team and ensure response to the findings on a timely basis, within the span of control

ü  Establish and maintain effective network with associated industry/institutions to enhance collaboration and sharing of information for mutual development

ü  Maintain awareness of Institution’s key messages and promises, and ensure these are consistently communicated to potential or existing Trainees

ü  Provide information and advice to applicants on Admissions from first enquiry through to enrolment
