This role requires strong organisational skills, professionalism and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Namalco is seeking detail-oriented and organised administrive staff members to support daily operations at our Guyana branch at our site in Long Creek. This role requires the following:

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) CSEC passes, including English and Mathematics or equivalent qualifications.
  • CAPE passes or equivalent post-secondary qualifications in Business, Office Administration or related fields are preferred.
  • A CV or Resume with two professional references.
  • Strong computer literacy including proficiency in document formatting and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of professional work experience in an administrative role, preferably in construction, engineering or project-based environments.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Must be self-motivated, professional and a team player.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare letters, memos, internal reports and spreadheets with accuracy.
  • Manage data entry and record keeping (both digital and hard copy).
  • Support payroll processing through accurate time sheet collection and data compilation.
  • Assist with preparing reports for project progress, quality and compliance.
  • Serve as a liaison between site staff and head office for administrative communication.
  • Liase with head office daily.
  • Handle confidential documents and maintain information security protocols.
  • Collect slips for materials and keep records updated.
  • Manage accounts and keep information up to date. 

Preferred Attributes:

  • Basic knowledge of construction or engineering terminology.
  • Familiarity with office equipment such as printers and scanners.
  • Health and safety awareness is an asset.
