The Jamaica Stock Exchange seek to identify a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Administrative Assistant (Legal Department) for four (4) months.
In addition to providing professional administrative and secretarial support to the Manager – Legal Services/Company Secretary - JSE, the Administrative Assistant will be required to liaise with Managers of the JSE/JCSD and internal staff, representatives of Listed Companies, Member Firms, Legal Counsel, International Exchanges and the general public. The incumbent who should possess strong communication skills will be required to record and reproduce Minutes of meetings
Having high regard for accuracy and the ability to exercise initiative and sound judgement, the Administrative Assistant should be able to efficiently record and reproduce Minutes of high standard and accuracy and to ensure that confidentiality and efficient records management practices are maintained.
Specific Requirements & Competencies
The holder of BSc Management, Finance, Accounting or equivalent with professional administrative training, the incumbent should have at least three (3) years professional experience as an Administrative Assistant and should:
be proficient in computer applications and possess excellent time management skills.
possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of the JSE, JCSD and JCSDTS operational policies and procedures will be an asset
The Administrative Assistant should be proficient in computer applications and possess:

Excellent time management skills
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
