To undertake all administrative functions in full compliance systems, policies and procedures, guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs) thereby ensuring that the desired service support levels are provided.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITES:
• Calculate and prepare the accurate payment of wages to contractors/drivers by verifying the submitted information with the delivery schedules, calculating the amounts due, submitting for approval and entering the amounts on the system for payroll to action by the set deadline.
• Accurately prepares and forward for approval all supplier payment claims payment claims being submitted and forwards these for approval within the set deadlines i.e. payment vouchers for staff and suppliers, contractors, and suppliers’ invoices to accurately compensate them for their services/ goods
• Monitor and report on the employees’ attendance and leave to ensure accurate records are kept
• Maintain and update the internal communication channels in the department to ensure that all critical company information is effectively disseminated.
• Coordinate the Department’s Petty cash allowance via the disbursement of funds the collection of relevant receipts, re-ordering of cash and preparation and submission of the Petty Cash Return Report within the established deadlines
• Monitor and purchase stationery and office supplies to ensure that the adequate levels are maintained to ensure that the department has the materials to support the operations
• Performs any other related duties that may be assigned to you by your management line.

JOB SPECIFICATION:
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Certification in Office Procedures
• Five (5) GCE/CXC/CSEC Ordinary level passes including Mathematics and English Language
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of payroll systems and processes
• Team leading and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage talent and develop others.
• Must be organized, self-confident/motivated, goal-oriented, customer service focused, persistent and committed, and able to cope well in stress-related environments
• Must display honesty and integrity
• Reliable, trustworthy and a good team player
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety would be an asset
• Ability to work long hours
