Job Title: Administrative Assistant  

Location: Guyana

 

Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative Assistant to support day-to-day operations at our Welgedacht office. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining administrative flow, ensuring the timely tracking of purchase orders (POs), invoices, and office-related expenditures, and contributing to the smooth functioning of office activities

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Track and manage purchase orders and invoices for contractors, suppliers, and building utilities.
  • Monitor office expenditures and assist with basic financial tracking and reporting.
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day office operations, including supplies, maintenance coordination, and document filing.
  • Utilize Excel to maintain records, compile data, and create simple reports.
  • Draft and communicate in clear, professional English, both written and spoken to vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Provide general administrative support to management and project teams as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in an administrative or office support role (1–3 years preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, formatting, data entry).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Familiarity with purchase orders, invoices, and expense tracking is a plus.

 Working Conditions:

  • Office-based role in Welgedacht.
  • Monday to Friday, standard working hours (8am to 5pm with 1 hour lunch).
  • Occasional flexibility required based on office demands
