The Administrative Accounting professional will be a key player in the execution of admin support to our Accounting team

KPMG in Caricom is seeking to hire a talented, highly motivated, and professional Administrative Accountant to join our Finance & Administration Department in our Jamaica office.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparing monthly operations cost reports
  • Preparing monthly cost analysis and explanations for variances
  • Assist in budget and forecast preparation
  • Entering journals in Sage
  • Entering bank transactions in Sage
  • Preparing bank recons using Sage
  • Maintaining fixed asset register
  • Maintaining prepayments and other audit schedules
  • Assist with providing support for audit queries during audit process
  • Occasionally cover payables desk (during vacation of payables person)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum Grade II in CXC English Language or equivalent
  •  At least 1 - 2 years experience in an accounting role
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Experience using SAGE/ACCPAC software in a professional role
  • Expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal, report writing and communication skills
  • Flexible and willing to travel
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to adapt to a multi-cultural experience

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Required to work beyond normal working hours, when necessary
  • Exposure to confidential information
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality is required
  • Required to work to set deadlines

Compensation and benefits are very competitive and will be commensurate with experience.
