Management of Accounts Payable documents, which includes processing of invoices, settlements and analyses and reconciliations of payables obligations to the GL. The role involves management of multiple companies Payables register which requires strong organization and planning skills.

Job Summary

Management of Accounts Payable documents, which includes processing of invoices, settlements and analyses and reconciliations of payables obligations to the GL. The role involves management of multiple companies Payables register which requires strong organization and planning skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Timely processing of import and export charges.
• Management of Payables ledger and relationship with suppliers.
• Monthly reconciliation of all major local and foreign Creditors accounts.
• Monthly reconciliation of trade payables sub-ledger to general ledger accounts.
• Monthly analysis of various trade payables (trade allocation, down payment, etc).
• Daily updates in SAP of automatic bank debits and direct debits payment transactions. This is accompanied by a weekly completeness check using the bank statement. 
• Processing of monthly recurring payments by due dates, (rent, loan payments taxes, insurance, credit card, utilities, etc). A listing of all recurring payments with due dates must be used as a checklist.
• Registering all vendors for ACH/Wire payment to eliminate cheque payments and achieve efficiency
• Preparation of General Consumption Tax calculation monthly.
• Weekly processing of payments both local and foreign.
• Updating SAP with invoices daily.

Experience and Qualifications 

• University degree in Accounting and/or ACCA level II
• Minimum of two years Accounts Payable  experience
• Hands-on Spreadsheet and other computer applications knowledge
• Knowledge of general accounting
• Strong  organization skills and the ability to plan and multi-task effectively
• Highly self-motivated.
• Must be confidential and exercise good judgement.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
