Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Clerk to provide accounts payable and general accounting support for a growing and dynamic company. The role focuses primarily on accounts payables, general ledger activities, and support across the finance and administrative functions.

Salary: $6,500 (maximum)


Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Review payable invoices to ensure accuracy, correctness, and appropriate approvals prior to processing.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders, goods receipt notes, service entry/ receipts. and delivery notes.
  • Process and pay invoices in a timely manner in accordance with organizational KPIs. 
  • Follow up and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal stakeholders. 
  • Perform vendor reconciliations on an ongoing basis.
  • Review, process, and prepare payments for staff business and travel expense reports.
  • Follow up on the return of foreign travel reports in line with procedures.
  • Process customs and shipping documents and reconcile and reimburse as required.
  • Complete bank reconciliations and prepare periodic cash reports.
  • Assist with the computation and submission of statutory taxes, including VAT, withholding taxes, business levy, and green fund levy. 
  • Provide administrative support within the finance department as required.
  • Maintain proper filing of accounting records and ensure a neat and organized workspace.
  • Work collaboratively with management and staff to support smooth company operations. 
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and HSSE requirements. 
  • Perform other related accounting and administrative duties as assigned. 
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of ACCA Level II or Bsc in Accounting
  • 2-3 years' experience in a similar accounting role.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectivelyin a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach to resolving discrepancies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of statutory taxes. 
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics GP, Maximo, or similar ERP accounting systems.
