A regional information management firm is seeking a dedicated and meticulous individual who will play a crucial role in the company's; office management, overseeing and executing various accounting and administrative tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Primary Duties Accounts Clerk

  • Manage and maintain Accounts Payables and Receivables.

 

  • Meticulously monitor customer accounts, promptly identifying any instances of nonpayment or delayed payment.

 

  • Thoroughly analyse discrepancies and unresolved invoices, ensuring accurate financial records.

 

  • Utilize effective communication and negotiation skills to facilitate the settlement of outstanding customer payments.

 

  • Accurately process customer requests and appropriately address complaints.
  • Organize and coordinate all deposit-related activities in a timely manner.

 

  • Review, validate, and process vendor bills, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

 

  • Conduct thorough reconciliations across accounts, bank statements, and financial records, diligently rectifying any discrepancies found.

 

  • Operate a range of office machinery including photocopiers, scanners, fax machines, voicemail systems, and computers.

 

  • Maintain a prompt and organized approach to emails, ensuring follow-ups are timely.

 

  • Manage incoming calls with a swift response time, directing calls and managing messages professionally and efficiently.
  • Process wage payroll in payroll system.

 

Skills , knowledge , expertise

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.

 

  • An associate degree in accounting or finance is preferred.

 

  • Proven experience with accounts payables and receivables.

 

  • Proficiency with QuickBooks is preferred.

 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

 

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
