Accounting & Tax Manager

Responsible for performing and overseeing a variety of accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and guidelines in order to ensure accurate financial statement reporting and compliance with all regulations and local laws.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of the accounting team to ensure dail and weekly timelines are met
• Review monthly financial statements for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Review od monthly reconciliation and ensuring  reconciling items are timely resolved and there are no aged amounts.
• Review of Payroll taxes /SO1/ SO2.
• Lead local tax audits ensuring all supports are provided in a timely manner.
• Responsible for tax filings on TAJ as well as maintain relationship with the tax authorities.
• Review of payments for expenses, customs and capital itams.

Education/Experience

• Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or pursuing level 3 ACCA. Minimum five (5) years experience in a similar role, preferably in a retail environment.
• Excellent math and analytical skills
• Knowledge of Windows Operating System and AS400
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
