Job 1-Treasury Coordinator
Job Objective:
To support the Treasury Manager in overseeing cash management, banking operations, and treasury controls while supervising a team of Treasury Analysts.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise the day-to-day activities of Treasury Analysts, ensuring accuracy and timelyexecution.
• Coordinate and review daily cash management activities, including liquidity tracking and accurate and timely processing of all Company payments, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
• Assist in preparing weekly/monthly cash forecasts, funding plans, and treasury reports.
• Support the preparation of intercompany funding requests and partner cash calls.
• Manage relationships with banking partners for account operations and issue resolutions.
• Oversee banking documentation and mandates, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Support continuous improvement of treasury policies, systems, including automation of manual processes.
• Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in management/accounting or a related field.
• 5-7 years’ experience in Corporate Treasury, Banking or Financial Services
• Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory or team leader experience.
• Knowledge of cash management, forecasting, liquidity reporting, and reconciliation
• Experience using SAP is desirable.
Job 2-COST CONTROLLER
Job Objective:
The Cost Controller monitors expenditure and ensures the accurate recording of expenses. The incumbent works in conjunction with the various departments to ensure proper alignment between costs recorded and activities performed by vendors/suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares the necessary SAP MM documents for vendors in coordination with department managers and relevant process owners (Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), Service Orders (SO) and Service Entry Sheets (SES)).
- Ensures strict adherence to the invoice/requisition workflow process.
- Provides coordination with both internal and external clients to ensure that all expenses/invoicing processes can be controlled and monitored effectively.
- Prepares contract analyses which includes but is not limited to ensuring correct account assignments, distinguishing between fixed and variable components, invoiced vs commitment costs etc.
- Ensures expenses are recorded with the appropriate account assignments.
- Prepares monthly accruals for the activities in the department(s) in a timely and efficient manner.
- Prepares monthly reallocations to ensure accurate reporting of activities.
- Prepares the Forecast and annual Budget based on the relevant inputs from the individual departments.
- Prepares cost analyses which includes budgetary variance analysis to facilitate monthly reporting.
Job Qualifications:
- Business Management degree or equivalent tertiary education qualification.
- Minimum 2 years’ work experience in the Oil & Gas industry in a similar position.
- Thorough understanding of cost control and budgeting procedures.
- Previous experience working with SAP and Microsoft office tools.
Job 3-Accounts Payable Assistant
Responsible for the day-to-day activities related to the processing of invoices and support of accounts payables function of the company’s Exploration & Production businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Logging receipt of invoices from vendors.
- Working through the accounts payable dedicated inbox to organise invoices into different cost types (External, Internal, Intercompany).
- Entering invoices into SAP and matching against existing Purchase Orders.
- Methodically and systematically loading documents into the Companies in-house invoice forum tool.
- Managing the workflow for received invoices through the forum. Assigning staff of appropriate seniority and departments as approvers for invoices.
- Providing detailed follow-up to Senior management on the status of invoices in the accounts payable cycle not yet approved. Following up with approvers where necessary.
- Responding to vendor queries e.g. Statement reconciliations / Update on payments status’ / Assistance with rejected invoices.
- Assisting with expediting payments through the accounts payable cycle.
- Preparation, entry, and filing of bank journals.
- Assisting with preparation of bank reconciliations
- Liaising with Treasury to organise priority of expedited payments.
- Posting of invoices for which there is no associated purchase order (e.g. utilities and rent).
- Posting of other transactions for which there is no associated purchase order (e.g. petty cash, employee expenses and per diems)
Requirments
- Level II ACCA or equivalent
- 2-3 years’ experience working in a similar role.
- Previous experience working with SAP and Microsoft office tools.
Job 4-Accountant
The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of journal entries to record revenue, expenses, prepayments, estimates and other financial transactions.
- Preparation of accurate monthly financial statements
- Preparation of month-end and year-end closings in SAP
- Preparation of analysis to support quarterly Group Reporting
- Maintenance of the fixed asset register including transfer of WIP assets to final asset
- Review and analysis of DD&A calculated in SAP to ensure accuracy.
- General Ledger maintenance including cleaning of old balances.
- Preparation of monthly GL analyses and reconciliation of key P&L and Balance Sheet accounts.
- Identification of journal corrections to be made where necessary.
- Preparation of ageing schedules for vendors and customers.
- Preparation of bank reconciliations in SAP
- Preparation of intracompany cost analysis to ensure accurate allocation of costs.
- Payroll processing
- Processing of employee expenses
- Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements for audit, in accordance with IFRS.
- Assist with audit supports and information requests for annual and JV audits.
- Identify and communicate areas for process improvement and financial control.
- Collaborate with other teams in Finance and other departments to provide analysis and support.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting or professional accounting certification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA or similar)
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SAP FI-CO and FI-AA modules.
- Knowledge and experience in the application of IFRS in an oil and gas environment
- Experience with accounting for Production Sharing Contracts (PSC)
Job 5-The JV Relations and Reporting Analyst
The JV Relations and Reporting Analyst will support the JV Manager in fulfilling contractual obligations under the Joint Operating Agreement. The role requires strong analytical and reporting skills, along with an understanding of the JV governance and cost allocation in the energy sector.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly and quarterly Joint Venture reports as required under the JOA, including billing statements, cost recovery reports, and cash calls etc.
- Support accurate and timely submission of reports to JV partners in accordance with contractual timelines.
- Ensure reporting aligns with the cost allocation principles outlined in the JOA and applicable accounting procedures.
- Analyse and report on variances and movements in results in comparison to approved Work Programs and Budget
- Assist in monitoring compliance with the JOA and related agreements, flagging any deviations or non-conformance.
- Support audit preparation and partner reviews related to cost allocations and joint account expenditures.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum Level 2 ACCA or related discipline
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in joint venture accounting, finance, or reporting in the energy industry.
- Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Knowledge of Joint Operating Agreements (JOAs), production sharing contracts (PSCs), and cost recovery mechanisms.
- Experience in JV cost tracking, reporting, and partner billing.
