Accounting Officer (Montego Bay)

A leading group of companies, operating several popular restaurant franchises, is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Officer to join their team in Montego Bay. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all financial and accounting processes, while supporting smooth business operations across our brands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily administrative accounting support, including use of online banking platforms and accounting systems.

• Process invoices and post payments in a timely and accurate manner.

• Reconcile bank accounts monthly and assist with payroll processing.

• Manage employee benefits and related accounts on a semi-annual basis.

• Assist with year-end closing activities and provide audit support.

• Maintain accurate financial documentation and assist with staff onboarding and offboarding processes.

• Oversee changes in payroll documentation and ensure updates are reflected in HR systems.

• Administer employee-related accounts such as gas cards, closed user groups (CUG), and health cards.

• Review intercompany accounts and provide financial reports as needed.

• Carry out other ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks to support operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in accounting or finance.

• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage 300) and online banking platforms.

• Strong knowledge of payroll systems and HR software is an asset.

• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams.
