JOB 1 - Financial Accountant

Our client is seeking to hire a Financial Accountant – SAP Support on a one month contract for their Piarco location.



Job Summary

A detail-oriented and highly skilled Financial Accountant – SAP Support to assist the Finance Manager in executing SAP-specific processes around month-end processing, reconciliations, and sub-ledger management. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to strengthen their expertise in SAP and contribute to accurate financial reporting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Support Finance Officers in resolving issues across sub-ledgers:
      • Accounts Payable: Accurate and timely posting of inventory and non-inventory invoices, including Fixed Assets and Intercompany invoices.
      • Accounts Receivable: Ensure sales invoices and credit notes are properly accounted for.
      • Fixed Assets & WIP: Assist in proper allocation, capitalization, and depreciation recording.
      • Inventory: Perform variance analysis and reconciliations with GP.
    • Conduct reconciliations:
      • Sub-ledgers to SAP GL and GP GL.
      • SAP Trial Balance to GP Trial Balance.
      • Goods receipts and invoice receiving reconciliations.
    • Compliance and process recording:
      • Update daily trackers for SAP and GP deliverables.
      • Record SAP processes for knowledge transfer (videos, screen captures).
    • Collaborate with Production and Inventory departments to align SAP and GP systems for Cost of Goods Sold.
    • Ensure employee safety, compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene standards, and proper use of PPE.
    • Provide backup support for senior finance members, including the Finance Manager.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Accounting degree or Level 2 ACCA completion.
    • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience.
    • Advanced SAP user.
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP is an asset.
    • Solid understanding of sub-ledger reconciliations: AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Inventory.
    • Meticulous, quality-focused, and accurate.
    • Team player with strong collaboration skills.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Predominantly desk-based work; regular breaks recommended to reduce strain.

JOB 2 - Finance Analyst

Our client is seeking to hire a Finance Analyst for a period of Two (2) weeks for their Piarco location.


Job Summary

A highly skilled Finance Analyst to support the Finance Manager in delivering timely, accurate financial information and analysis to guide the Executive Management team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across reporting, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, and audit functions, contributing to the company’s strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting:
    • Assist month-end close processes per company guidelines.
    • Prepare Management Accounts Package (by 8th of each month) and other financial reports (by 10th).
    • Perform detailed variance analysis and comprehensive business analysis by product, business line, and customer.
    • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as needed.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Prepare annual and half-year budgets.
    • Monitor and report monthly performance against budget for revenue, expenses, and capex.
    • Update cash flow forecasts and circulate daily cash positions.
    • Formulate cost-saving strategies for management implementation.
  • Reconciliation:
    • Prepare and review month-end schedules and ensure reconciliations are updated and cleared.
  • Statutory & Audit Compliance:
    • Ensure timely and accurate statutory filings and payments.
    • Address management letter points and prepare audit reports.
    • Conduct weekly/monthly audits of financial controls and update company policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Pricing and Costing:
    • Support pricing functions, including scenarios for new/existing clients and maintaining the Master Price List.
    • Analyze revenue against costing and deliveries.
  • Intercompany Management:
    • Approve intercompany invoices, reconciliations, and confirmations.
  • Records Management & Supervision:
    • Maintain all departmental documents.
    • Supervise and support Accounting Officers in achieving departmental goals.
    • Prepare, review, and post journals as required.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Ensure employee safety, enforce HACCP, Food Safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Additional Functions:
    • Provide backup support for senior finance team members, including the Finance Manager.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Financial degree or ACCA completion; MBA is an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong audit experience and knowledge of accounts, reconciliations, taxation, and financial statement preparation.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills; familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Dynamics GP is an asset.
  • Good working knowledge of International Accounting Standards.
  • Strong leadership, service excellence, and innovation values.
  • Meticulous, quality-focused, and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent English communication; Spanish is an asset.
  • Team player with proven ability to build trust, diversity, and inclusion within the team.

  • Primarily desk-based work; regular breaks recommended to reduce strain.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.
