Accounting Clerk - Receivables Jamaica Civil Service Association
Process accounts and incoming payments received from subscriptions, rentals, gym, etc.
Receive cheques and prepare deposit slips.
Update and review payments from pensioners.
Generate receivables reports.
Assist the Accountant in reconciling revenue accounts each month.
Copy, file, and retrieve materials for accounts receivable as needed.
Perform daily cash management duties, including:
Recording of bank deposits
Updating and distribution of cash receipt logs
Posting of cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger
Generate invoices for departments/members.
Communicate with MDAs regarding outstanding balances.
Verify discrepancies in payments from MDAs.
Assist with the research of NHT and NIS contributions information for employees.

Excellent oral and written communication skills
Good customer relation skills
Sound integrity and ethics in the performance of duties
Associate of Science Degree in Accounting or related field; OR ACCA Level 1; OR CAT Level 3
Proficient in Excel, Word, Peachtree, QuickBooks, Outlook
Advanced abilities with Excel
Ability to input key financial transaction data in the database daily
Ability to provide assistance and support to the Manager - Accounts
Skilled in researching, tracking, and resolving accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
At least one (1) year experience in the field
