Overview of Responsibilities

This consultancy role requires an experienced accounting professional to maintain and manage the day-to-day financial operations of the Caribbean Society for Human Resource Professionals. The consultant will ensure the organization's financial integrity while supporting its mission to advance HR standards across the Caribbean region.

 

Key Deliverables

1. Financial Transaction Management

  • Process, manage, and monitor all day-to-day financial transactions and accounts payable
  • Ensure timely follow-up on payments with suppliers, vendors, and team members while maintaining accurate financial records


2. Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations
  • Monitor and update financial forecasting and projections
  • Prepare financial statements for submission to the accountant
  • Manage operational costs and expense tracking
  • Maintain organized financial record keeping systems


3. Financial Documentation

  • Prepare financial proposals, bids, RFPs, and quotations for services
  • Research and develop pricing structures and costing models for organizational needs

 

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
  • Professional certification in accounting preferred


Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Zoho Books or exposure to similar accounting software
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with Canva is an asset
  • Strong ability to present financial information and communicate effectively
  • Capacity to learn new software and systems

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
