Accounting Assistant

The Accounting Assistant supports daily finance operations, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and reporting. This role requires strong attention to detail, a solid accounting foundation, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT (Six (6) month contract)

Qualifications & Experience

• Currently pursuing ACCA Level 1 or 2 or an equivalent qualification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with accounting software is an asset
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounting entries and financial statements
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
• Prepare and analyse financial reports
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis as required
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Support audit preparation and respond to audit queries
• Manage petty cash transactions
• Ensure high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
