Senior Accounting Assistant -Will be responsible for the accurate record keeping reporting and analysis of information within the finance department.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Preparation of monthly financial statements
• Preparation of projected budgets
• Bank reconciliations
• Inter-company reconciliations
• Monitor & Maintain Accounts Payable & receivable
• VAT returns
• Fixed Assets Register
• Monitor stock levels
• Reconciliation of GL accounts
• Ensure payment of all statutory deductions and utilities
• Analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts
• Preparing and completing special reports
• Following policies and procedures; complying with financial legal requirements
• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• ACCA Level 2
• Minimum of two (3) years prior experience in a similar position
• Practical working knowledge in the preparation, analysis, and interpretation of financial statements.
• Experience working in an accounting environment for restaurants will be an asset.
SKILLS
• Efficiency in Microsoft Excel, G Suite, and QuickBooks
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and work on complex and highly varied documents and tasks
• Sound knowledge of Journal Entry, Variance Reports and Data Analysis
