Our client is a highly innovative technological septic solutions management organization and is looking to recruit a dynamic individual to fill the role of Accounting & Administrative Assistant in Barbados.

Overview: Our client is a highly innovative technological septic solutions management organization and is looking to recruit a dynamic individual to fill the role of Accounting & Administrative Assistant in Barbados.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with maintaining accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
  • Process and verify accounts receivable transactions.
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial reports
  • Ensure proper filing and documentation of all financial transactions
  • Assist with payroll preparation and employee reimbursements
  • Support audit processes and documentation.
  • Generate invoices in a timely manner
  • Prepare and enter journal entries into accounting systems.
  • Follow up with customers regularly to ensure timely receipt of payments

 

Administrative Duties:

  • Answer phone calls and respond to emails professionally, providing excellent customer service
  • Maintain and update office filing systems (physical and electronic)
  • Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements
  • Assist with general office management and administrative support tasks
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day office operations
  • Support coordination of office events and activities

 

Desired skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in accounting or administration is a plus.
  • Previous experience in an accounting or administrative role preferred.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (eQuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • General bookkeeping knowledge of debits and credits and GL accounts.
  • Ability to maintain records that are accurate and timely.
  • Ability to write coherent emails to customer, clients, vendors and co-workers
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
