Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Accountant acts as the link between financial strategy and daily execution, ensuring that the Group’s accounting, treasury, and reporting practices align with international standards (IFRS) and support business performance. The role provides leadership in financial operations, policy enforcement, and compliance while supporting the CFO and Financial Controller in driving financial discipline, accountability, and cost efficiency across all business units.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Accuracy
- Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accuracy of all financial records across entities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements.
- Support the Financial Controller in the consolidation of group financial results and intercompany reconciliations.
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet schedules.
Treasury and Cash Flow Management
- Manage day-to-day cash flow, bank reconciliations, and short-term liquidity planning.
- Optimize the use of financial resources, ensuring sufficient cash availability for operations and investments.
- Maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions for financing and foreign currency operations.
- Monitor compliance with loan covenants and ensure efficient management of debt obligations.
Leadership and Team Development
- Supervise accounting and finance staff, ensuring timely and accurate work delivery.
- Coach and mentor team members to enhance technical and analytical skills.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and ethical financial management.
Compliance, Audit, and Governance
- Ensure all financial activities adhere to statutory requirements in Sint Maarten, France, and regional jurisdictions.
- Maintain and enhance internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Required Experience and Competencies
Qualifications and Others
- Chartered or Certified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CA, CPA)
- Fluency in English. Any other Caribbean language is a plus.
