FULLY REMOTE (Work from Home)

TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent, full time

The successful candidate will report directly to the Finance Operations Manager.

JOB OVERVIEW:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute and collaborate in various aspects of general accounting and financial reporting and analysis within a dynamic Group of Companies. This role will primarily focus on providing comprehensive support to the Finance Operations Manager in various accounting tasks. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience across multiple business and finance operations, including the hospitality division, investments division, and banking division.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Pursuing Level 3 ACCA or an equivalent Accounting Degree.
  • At least five years' work experience in an accounting environment.
  • Experience working on projects, playing a key role in investigating, validating and refining data would be an asset.
  • Intermediate level skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite, especially Microsoft excel.
  • Familiarity with using accounting software
  • Consistent internet access to support daily remote operations and virtual collaboration.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process and post all suppliers' invoices and payments.
  • Processing customer invoices and follow up on timely collections.
  • Maintain fixed   asset registers, including properly accounting for   fixed asset acquisitions, disposals and monthly processing of depreciation.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations (subledgers and general ledgers) including intercompany and bank.
  • Updating Payments Tracker.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual budgets.
  • Assist with the Group Consolidation Reporting.
  • Produce other financial reports to support senior management in decision-making.
  • Prepare and post all journal entries for general financial accounting in multiple companies.
  • Support with audit requests as required.
