Accountant 

Position Summary:  A reputable organization in the oil and gas industry is seeking to recruit an Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares, examines, and analyzes accounting records, financial statements, and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting standards.
  • Conducts revenue analysis for gas and condensates in both USD and TTD, with monthly reporting.
  • Computes quarterly taxes, royalties, working interest, and Green Fund Levy, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develops and maintains monthly schedules of gas prices and perform financial reconciliations.
  • Ensures compliance with Production Sharing and Joint Operation Agreement accounting requirements.
  • Prepares Petroleum Income Tax and Corporate Income Tax submissions.
  • Delivers timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reconciliations.
  • Liaises with government authorities tax consultants, and auditors to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Conducts audits of cost recovery statements and statements of expenditure.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting,  ACCA, CPA or other professional accounting qualifications with a minimum of 4 years’ relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications and relevant accounting packages.
  • Experience in financial reporting, tax compliance, and joint venture accounting.

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work around stringent deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
