Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking to onboard a permanent accountant.
Job Title: Accountant
Salary: $18,000
Reports To: Executive Director, Shared Services
Department: Finance
The Accountant has primary responsibility for overseeing all finance activities of the Company, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and negotiations, while ensuring cost-effective initiatives are implemented across the organization.
Ensure that all costings of incoming goods are accurately recorded and updated in the system.
Conduct regular stock counts and ensure variances are updated and posted timely in accordance with Company policy.
Review and sign off on weekly reports, including but not limited to:
Packaging and bulk sales reports
Inventory (Bulk & Packaging)
Packing Inventory Transfers
Manage treasury and cash flows in accordance with invoice and bill terms.
Review and confirm all statutory payments are made on time, including:
Value Added Tax (bi-monthly)
Quarterly taxes
Annual returns of statutory deductions and remittance to BIR
Review General Journals prepared by junior staff, prepare additional journals as necessary, and ensure adjusting journals from annual reviews are accurately recorded and verified against Annual Financial Statements prepared by external accountants.
Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or provide advice.
Prepare timely monthly management accounts with supporting schedules for all items on the Statement of Financial Position and Statement of Comprehensive Income, including explanations of variances to budget and prior year/period.
Supervise year-end annual stock counts.
Prepare annual accounting schedules for external accountants in a timely manner.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer or Executive Directors.

Minimum of 8 years’ experience in accounting in a computerized environment
ERP system experience is required
ACCA Level 3 qualified with post-qualification experience
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong decision-making skills with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Excellent planning, organizing, and time management skills; ability to coordinate, delegate, motivate, and mentor staff
Minimum of 3 years’ experience supervising, mentoring, and coaching staff
