ACCOUNTANT

Our client is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting processes.


Main Job Functions:

· Provides financial information to management by researching and analysing accounting data; preparing reports.

· Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information.

· Document all financial transactions by entering account information.

· Recommends financial actions by analysing accounting options.

· Summarizes current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.

· Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.

· Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.

· Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.

· Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.

· Secures financial information by completing data backups.

· Maintains financial security by following internal controls.

· Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.

· Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.

· Complies with local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

· Prepares special adhoc financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing account information and trends.

· Maintains customer confidence and protects company by keeping financial information confidential.

· Responsible for all payables and receivables transaction associated with the company.

· Assist the company with adhering to financial corporate governance rules and regulations.

· Assist the company on local financial and accounting regulations to ensure no breaches on behalf of the company.

· Work with the Human Resource department to manage payroll and pension programs.

· Liaise with trainers to co-ordinate approved training and development programs for all accounting department employees.

· Enforce all disciplinary penalties and rewards in conjunction with the corporate company’s Human Resources policies.

· Report in a timely manner any incidents, accidents and or breaches of Safety and Standards to the Manager and through any stipulated internal communication protocols.

· Be open to constant change and improvement of processes and policies.

· Ensure to provide daily, weekly and monthly reports to the manager and the company board.

· Perform other related or non- related company duties assigned from time to time.


Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Detail oriented.

· Time management, reporting and general math skills.

· Strong interpersonal, leadership and communications skills

· The job requires a high level of confidentiality, trust and respect.

· High Professional and Ethical standards

· Excels at operating in a fast pace, high pressure multi-tasking environment.

· Knowledge of techniques for dealing with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.


Education and Experience (Minimum Requirements):

· Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance or a CPA.

· Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in accounting/finance

· Experience with financial reporting requirements.

· Experience working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.

· Excellent Computer skills and proficiency at Microsoft Office suite and basic technology literacy is essential.
