The Accountant is responsible for managing the financial operations of the company. This includes maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring daily revenue, reconciling POS transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with statutory and company policies.

ACCOUNTANT - ONE YEAR CONTRACT

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements, management reports, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy of all financial records.
  • Track and report daily revenue from ticket sales, concessions, and special events.
  • Monitor and report on operational expenses, including costs related to maintenance, staffing, and marketing.
  • Prepare periodic budgets, cash flow projections, and financial forecasts for management review.

Revenue & Cash Management:

  • Reconcile daily cash, credit card, and online ticket sales with POS reports and bank deposits.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring compliance with internal control and company policies.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between system sales reports and actual deposits.

Compliance & Statutory Obligations:

  • Ensure accurate and timely remittance of statutory deductions such as PAYE, NIS, and Health Surcharge.
  • Prepare and file VAT returns and other required government reports.
  • Assist in the preparation and coordination of the annual audit process.

 

Internal Controls & Process Improvement:

  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard financial data and operations.
  • Identify and implement improvements in accounting systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for cost optimization and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • ACCA Level II or higher.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Peachtree, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Sound understanding of POS systems and revenue reconciliation processes.
  • Knowledge of local tax and statutory regulations.
  • Experience in preparing and managing budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections.
