The ideal candidate must have a sound knowledge of accounting principles, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment. .

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • General accounting duties -  book general journal entries, review general ledgers, cash flow statements, reconcile bank and other balance sheet accounts, prepare audit schedules, do month/year-end closeout adjustments, budgets, etc.
  • Preparation and review of  financial statements -  e.g. profit and cost center reports, accounts payables and receivables reports, statistical metrics reports, cash flow projections, etc.
  • Monthly and Annual Returns - Prepare G.C.T returns, monthly statutory deductions, and annual returns.
  • Accounts Receivables - Prepare customer invoices, process payments received, generate statements, reconcile customer accounts, and participate in monitoring collections
  • Accounts Payables - Book vendor bills, process bill payments, reconcile vendor accounts and monitor payables
  • Financial Analyses - Analyze financial data and prepare various managerial reports for forecasting, fixed asset management reporting, etc.
  • Miscellaneous Reports - Prepare monthly or other reports required by management.
  • Other – Execute any additional related job functions that may be assigned or requested periodically.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Sound knowledge of Accounting principles
  • Proven experience using QuickBooks which is a major asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sound time management and writing skills
  • Effective management, leadership and analytical skills

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • First Degree in Accounting, ACCA certification or equivalent qualification
  • Three or more years prior experience in an a similar role.
