Accountant

An experienced Accountant to provide financial support and guidance across multiple markets. Job is based in Kingston, Jamaica

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparation of weekly and monthly management reports.
• Sales analysis and reconciliation of sales, inventory and general ledger accounts.
• Management of intercompany accounts and relationships.
• Preparation of GCT, statutory and withholding tax returns.
• Assistance with external audit and annual budget requirements.
• Review of bank reconciliations.
• Review and approval of inventory costings for imported items.
• Supporting the Financial Controller and liaison with Group Finance.
• Supporting month-end accounting activities.
• Analysis of financial data and providing performance reports for management.
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate or Post Graduate Degree 
• At least 5 years supervisory accounting experience - preferably in manufacturing or distribution.
• Strong Excel and IT skills.
• Demonstrable analytical and financial management skills.
