The Account Executive – Industrial & Commercial Fuels is responsible for managing and growing industrial and bulk fuel accounts through sales, customer retention, fleet card acquisition, receivables collection, tender support, customer service, and coordination of fuel delivery operations.

Account Executive – Industrial & Commercial Fuels

The Account Executive – Industrial & Commercial Fuels is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of industrial and commercial fuel customers through effective account management, business development, customer retention, and service delivery. The role focuses on driving sales growth, expanding fleet card business, maintaining strong customer relationships, supporting commercial opportunities, and ensuring timely collection of receivables while coordinating with internal teams to deliver reliable fuel solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain a portfolio of industrial, commercial, and bulk fuel customers.
  • Drive customer retention, account growth, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Identify and acquire new commercial and fleet card customers to expand market share.
  • Respond to bids, tenders, and other commercial opportunities in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to ensure efficient fuel delivery and service reliability.
  • Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables in accordance with approved credit terms.
  • Address customer queries, complaints, and service issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer accounts, sales pipeline, collections, and performance activities.
  • Prepare sales reports, account updates, and market intelligence as required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to support long-term business growth.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, credit procedures, and operational standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a fuel marketing or petroleum distribution company.
  • Experience managing industrial, commercial, or bulk fuel customers.
  • Strong background in account management, sales, customer relationship management, and collections.
  • Working knowledge of fuel operations, logistics, and credit sales processes.

  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively.
