The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Revenue & Receivables and Collections will oversee the Revenue & Receivables, and Collections portfolios. This leadership position is responsible for ensuring efficient recording of all revenues and receivables and our collections processes.

Supreme Ventures Services Limited, a Subsidary of Supreme Ventures Limited, is seeking to identify an Assistant Vice President for Receivables and Collections.

 

The ideal candidate will have eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience in Receivbles and Collections. The AVP will work closely with senior leadership, financial teams, and external stakeholders to drive the organization’s reporting strategies and initiatives while maintaining financial accuracy and transparency.

 QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Post-graduate degree from a recognized tertiary institution or recognized professional certification in Accounting or Finance
  • Chartered or certified as professional accountant by recognized body, e.g. ICAJ, CA, CPA, CGA
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in finance, with significant experience in financial reporting, revenue management, collections, and taxation. Previous leadership experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
  • Deep understanding of taxation laws and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
  • Expertise in financial systems, ERP software, and reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1. Revenue & Receivables Management:

  • Oversee the process of revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
  • Lead the strategy for managing receivables, optimizing collection cycles, and minimizing overdue balances.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting of accounts receivable, identifying and mitigating risks related to uncollected revenue.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and other departments to streamline revenue processes and improve cash flow.

2. Collections Oversight:

  • Direct and manage the collections team to ensure timely and effective collection of outstanding receivables.
  • Develop and implement strategies for reducing aged debt and improving collections performance.
  • Monitor and report on collections KPIs, providing recommendations for process improvements.
  • Liaise with clients and external partners to resolve payment issues, ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining company policies.

3. Leadership & Strategy:

  • Develop and manage the reporting team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability within the reporting and finance departments.
  • Partner with executive leadership to develop long-term financial strategies and objectives.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights to drive business decisions.

4. Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure all reporting activities comply with financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
  • Mitigate financial risks related to revenue, receivables, collections, and tax by proactively identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Manage the internal and external audit processes related to financial reporting, ensuring no significant discrepancies or compliance violations.
