At Christel House Jamaica is on a mission to break the cycle of poverty through holistic education. We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and student-centered APSE Coach to provide individualized academic and social-emotional support to students on alternative pathways (Pathway II and III) at the secondary level.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Collaborating with classroom teachers to support students requiring academic and behavioural interventions.
• Designing and implementing Individual or Group Intervention Plans (IIPs/GIPs).
• Using diagnostic and prescriptive teaching strategies to improve learning outcomes.
• Supporting curriculum adaptation, co-teaching, and classroom observation to guide strategy development.
• Providing ongoing coaching and training to teachers on best practices.
• Monitoring student progress and maintaining comprehensive performance portfolios.
• Leading sensitization efforts and working closely with families and multi-disciplinary teams.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education (required)
• Minimum of three (3) years’ teaching experience
• One (1) year experience in clinical/evaluation or similar setting
• Strong skills in assessment, intervention planning, and behaviour support
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and coaching abilities
• A passion for inclusive education and supporting students’ holistic development
