ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLES OFFICER

A small but rapidly growing distribution company operating in Jamaica for both international and local suppliers is seeking to fill vacancies for the position of Accounts Receivables Officer.

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLES OFFICER 

The selected candidate will be required to:

• Maintain up-to-date collection system, by accurately posting customer payments in a timely manner
• Send out invoices, review delivery details and generate credit note  for approval as necessary
• Follow up on, collect and allocate payments
• Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail or personally
• Follow with Sales Rep. to ensure that their collection is up to date
• Investigate and resolve customer queries
• Perform account reconciliations of customer accounts
• Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies
• Generate age analysis and review to ensure compliance
• Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records
• Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash etc.
• Process credit card payments
• Prepare bank deposits
• Prepare monthly receivable statements 

Knowledge & Skills 

• Knowledge of Accounts Receivables
• Knowledge of office administration and procedures
• Detail oriented
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Organizational skills
• Good customer service skills

 Qualifications/Experience

• Associate Degree in Accounting/Finance
• At least 3 year experience in Receivables
• Knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise would be an asset
• Must be able to work flexible hours.
• Knowledge of other areas in Accounting would be an asset.
