Caribbean Agro Industries Limited, located in St. Georges, Grenada has an opening for an Accounting Manager. Reporting to the Regional Financial Controller and as a member of the local executive team, the successful candidate will provide leadership for continuous improvement in the areas of  financial accounting and internal controls, and will support the financial reporting team. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for coaching and developing colleagues and inspiring high performance and high ethical standards.

 Job Requirements:

  •  B.Sc. in Accounting, ACCA or CPA qualification would be desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior finance and accounting position.
  • Demonstrated leadership, motivational and people development skills
  • Strong technical accounting background including good working knowledge of international accounting standards
  • Ability to be a strong team player.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment with multiple, changing and competing priorities
  • Experience in accounts payable & accounts receivables management, taxation and day to day supervision of accounting staff.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Motivated individual with strong time management, communication and presentation skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with colleagues as well as accounting, commercial and operations management.
  • Strong computing skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage under pressure.

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Providing leadership, performance management and development to a small accounting team.
  • Day to day management of Accounting Department.
  • Supervision of Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivable Portfolios.
  • Ensure the integrity of accounting records and management information.
  • Maintain a strong internal and operational control environment in accordance with company policy.
  • Work with internal and external auditors to coordinate audit requests and responses for the location.
  • Partner with local tax consultant as well as corporate tax department to ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws.
  • Monthly computation of Income Tax Provision.
  • Partner with commercial and operations management and be responsive to needs for business information
  • Provide support to the financial reporting team
  • Oversight of Inventory Controls.
  • Oversee the process of records retention.
  • Focus on continuous improvement of all accounting processes to ensure their efficiency and effectiveness
