2 x Installation Team Leaders (Renewable Energy)

Overview: Our client is one of the pioneers of renewable energy solutions in the Caribbean. Due to growth, they are seeking to appoint proven professional to co-ordinate the Installation teams based in St. Lucia and Barbados. 

Duties & Responsibilities:
•Co-ordinate and oversee deployment and solar thermal systems at Commercial/Residential locations.
• Ensuring that installations comply with safety and building codes.
• Troubleshooting and maintaining the system for optimal performance to guarantee energy efficiency, reliability, and sustainability in harnessing solar energy for thermal applications.
• Test operation or functionality of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and control systems.
• Apply weather seal, such as pipe flashings and sealants, to roof penetrations and structural devices.
• Install solar collector mounting devices on tile, asphalt, shingle, or built-up gravel roofs, using appropriate materials and penetration methods.
• Install copper or plastic plumbing using pipes, fittings, pipe cutters, wire brushes, sand cloths, flux, plastic pipe cleaners, or plastic glue.
• Identify plumbing, electrical, environmental, or safety hazards associated with solar thermal installations.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:
• Minimum BSc or recognized training in Solar Energy, Airconditioning, Plumbing, or Electrical Installation.
• Proven man-management skills with min. 3 - 5yrs supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with solar technology as advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to interpret building plans.
• Clean driving License/Own a vehicle.
