The Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago is an independent regulatory body, established by the Telecommunications Act 2001 and an act to amend the Telecommunications Act, 2001, with responsibility for the liberalization and regulation of the telecommunications and broadcasting sectors. The Authority became operational on 5 th July 2004.
To provide technical support in the development and management of the national telecommunications spectrum, development of policies and standards for telecommunications networks and facilities, wireless systems and broadcasting services.
