Primary objective of the job:
- To create and manage dynamic and engaging campaigns that allow the Digicel brand(s) to become a part of the property being used as a channel (whether that be sports, culture, entertainment or community causes); align the values and corresponding messages between Digicel and the property; and lead a team of professionals towards extraordinary performance through clear objectives, professional development, performance coaching and accountability.
Number of persons managed/supervised and their positions:
- Two Sponsorship Managers; Sponsorship Executive(s)
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and activate strategic development campaigns for the Digicel sponsorship portfolio
- Create an insight-led, customer centric full 360 degree sponsorship plan that will inspire all activation elements of the sponsorship portfolio and build
the Digicel brand
- Outline the audience segmentation for each campaign and describe how the strategy will target each group
- Lead the development, implementation and management of high visibility, creative and innovative sponsorship activations
- Derive compelling, shareable content from sponsorship properties to successfully engage customers by syndicating through Digicel's communication
platforms.
- Negotiate, draft and manage sponsorship contract agreements to ensure legal compliance, brand benefit and effective leverage of sponsorship
properties
- Strengthen strategic alignment and integration of all sponsorship activity with the overall marketing plan and Group Sponsorship strategy
- Establish strict Key Performance and Return on Investment Indicators by which the success of each campaign can be measured and benchmarked
- Develop, build and strengthen all relationships with sponsorship partners including key strategic vendors
Team:
- Provide effective leadership to the Sponsorship team members; managing performance; personal development; providing effective feedback and
discipline, where necessary
- Develop and manage the Sponsorship budgets effectively; delivering all planned executions within budget
- Related duties may be assigned from time to time
Academic qualifications and experience required for job:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or similar discipline
- 7 years' experience in a similar role with five years at a senior level (with an emphasis on sports, entertainment, culture and community activities)
Functional Skills:
- Proven track record of developing and implementing creative, successful, measurable brand building sponsorship campaigns related to sports,
entertainment, culture and community
- Have a very strong understanding of the Advertising, Public Relations and Media disciplines
- The ability to work under pressure in order to meet challenging deadlines
- Proven ability to effectively lead a team of high performing professionals
- Demonstrate strong planning, organisational and problem solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Self-starter with a results-oriented, positive and dynamic personality and comfortable working independently

Authority: (those task in which there is total control and autonomy in execution - e.g. approving vouchers, signing cheques, delegating task.) Please state limits where possible.
- Approval of all matter as it relates to the Sponsorship team
- Full authority to approve on all related spend as it relates to Sponsorship as per the approved budget
Working Condition: (e.g. dust, dirt, heat, abnormal hours, frequent travel, overtime, etc.
- Normal working hours - work during weekends and late night maybe required depending on the commercial demands of the business, for example,
Christmas period
