The incumbent must work closely with customers and your manager of your assigned area. It will be your total responsibility to ensure that you protect the interests of the company at all times without compromising your own safety and the safety of others.

  • of  broadband system, optimize the performance on newly installed RF radios, and/or evaluate and adjust the RF performance of an existing Access point or Back-haul radio

  • Coordinate with Network Operations (NOC) team in rectifying radio network problems and improving the network RF performance and quality 

  • Conducting new site surveys for new infrastructure radio implementation or customer installations 

  • Propose relevant network expansion possibilities on core RF back-haul links in specific area of the network based on the traffic report analysis completed

  • Monitoring the performance of all wireless radios on the core network by conducting relevant testing and analyzing various reports generated from monitoring and the management of these devices

  • Use RF tools for coverage prediction that gives an accurate picture of what will the projected coverage be or the back-haul requirements to attain specific bandwidth requirements

  • Troubleshooting wireless/RF problems found in a timely manner.

  • Testing wireless and network equipment, circuits, etc. (Example…test all radios that are returned defective to determine if they are repairable and if repairable should be repaired AND  test and repair all defective power system as deemed necessary, AND make relevant recommendations for more efficient and reliable power systems…AND equipment or as it related to any design flaws seen). 

  • Communicate data using digital software

  • Radio network issues are defined as failing capacity, channel interference, signal levels below company assigned benchmark levels, etc.

  • Ensure customer service and dispatch of ALL core network disruptions or customer equipment failures affecting customers of which YOU or ANY member of the radio network team is working on. If any such interruption is affecting customers, the immediate notification of service issue is to be made clear to the customer service channel.  It is also expected to be provided to Customer Service within 30 minutes of ALL restoration.

  • Ensure that all radio network equipment is always in compliance with the relevant company/customer security protocol requirements outlined by the company network security manager and CISO.  

Qualification:

Diploma in Business Administration 

Bsc. Electrical Engineering certification

Must have strong time management skills 

Strong understanding of the risk management process

Be able to multitask, while working in a fast-paced environment, and meet dead lines

Well-organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem-solving

Good interpersonal skills

Strong analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Good team development skills

Comfortable with change and complexity in dynamic environments

Team player with conflict resolution skills

Demonstrated ability to assist senior management with any additional work as needed

Proficiency in the use of general computer applications (Microsoft suite, Windows, Excel, Power point)
