Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide consultancy, design and development on the integration of Digicel Services to Customers Business Needs
- Support the ICT Solutions Sales team and BDM's on all technical sales opportunities.
- Act as a technical design authority resource to both internal and external clients.
- Work with internal and external resources to develop solutions for corporate clients.
- Interface directly with customers on technical issues where necessary.
- Interface with Partners and Vendors as required to identify and deliver new and innovative solutions that sit within the overall Digicel Business regional
Academic qualifications and experience required for job:
- Minimum CCNA/CCDA and/or HP/IBM/Dell Server/SNIA accreditation
- Cisco/HP training and certification training path
- BCM/Nortel design training and certification
- At least 3 years professional experience in a similar role
- Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or any other related field

Primary objective of the job:
The position of Presales Technical Consultant has been created to work with the ICT Solutions Team to grow the business and help meet the sales targets for Digicel Business in the ICT area. It will involve the development and implementation of both standard Wireless Broadband and non standard ICT solutions across multiple vendors and technologies.

- This is when the BDM meet with the customer and see that an opportunity exists for WIMAX and ICT technology to be implemented. In the absence of the BDM know the full portfolio, the Solutions architect should be prepared to present on Digicel solutions.

- During this stage the BDM, PreSales Specialist, Solutions architect, and the customer meet and decide what technology can be offered to improve business processes, enhance productivity and reduce TCO. Follow up meeting with explanation to the Customer and BDM what are the next steps accompanied by Visio diagram of the current Network design.

We then present a tailored solution that will fill the gaps; provide room for future growth and at the same time be affordable. This solution would include a quote, a complete bill of material, a solutions design from Visio and benefits/functionality of the proposed new system. The Technical Consultant will be the design authority and primary liaison between Partners, Vendors and Internal technical resource in signing off on these designs.

Internal/External contacts:
- Role will include contact with all relevant internal resources in Jamaica and across all Digicel Territories. The candidate will also need to establish functioning relationships with all relevant partners and vendors involved in the deployment of Digicel's Regional ICT Strategy.
