Our client within the Service industry is seeking to recruit a certified Corporate Secretary.

CORPORATE SECRETARY

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Determines governance priorities and desired outcomes for all business processes.
  • Supervises the administration of the Secretariat in support of the Organization and its committees.
  • Monitors all legal and regulatory developments affecting  the organization’s operations and ensures
    compliance from Organization Members.
  • Updates Organization on issues of policies and practices regarding the organization’s social responsibilities.
  • Ensures that all stakeholders interest are maintained.
  • Advises and gives guidance to Organization and Management in their decision making process
  • Administers all functions within the Human Resource Management portfolio.
  • Administers the Record Management portfolio in accordance with establish policies and procedures
  • Attends and prepares Minutes of Organization and Committee Meetings as specified
  • Liaises with chairmen of the various Committees to complete the process of licensing,investigation and disciplinary matters.
  • Oversees all activities related to Occupational Safety and Health in accordance with the OSH Act.
  • Approves and signs cheques, line payments and transfers, and initiate purchases in accordance with the organization’s financial policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates all activities for the completion of Pre- Visit Questionnaires related to practice Monitoring reviews.
  • Provides confidential secretarial work to the General Manager in execution of the Institute’s business.

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently in a fast paced environment that requires
    multitasking
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and teambuilding skills
  • Must have problem analysis and problem solving skills
  • Must be well organized and be able to work with accuracy and adequacy and within
    deadlines
  • Must be highly confidential and flexible
  • Must have computer fluency and a working knowledge of relevant software.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • First Degree in Business Administration, Law or any of the Social Sciences
  • Administrative Professional Secretary/Certified Professional Secretary qualification
  • Certificate in Human Resource Management
  • Five (5) years experience in a similar work environment
  • Computer Literacy in Microsoft Office Suit
  • Any other combination of qualifications, training and experience
