COMMERCIAL ANALYST

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily KPI reports for relevant markets.
  • Interpret the financial significance of operational & commercial KPI's.
  • Maintain rolling financial forecasts and prepare weekly run rate summary for the Senior Management Team.
  • Assist in the analysis and development of new pricing structures and promotions.
  • Review business case submissions and provide feedback to markets and analysis for Senior Management Team.
  • Analysis of customer base movements.
  • Preparation of margin analysis by revenue stream.
  • Produce segmented revenue & customer analysis reports.
  • Work with MIS to develop further reports to improve understanding of customer behavior. refine reports and ensure that they are created in a timely manner with the correct information
  • Perform trending and critical analysis to highlight issues and draw possible conclusions as to their causes.
  • Develop strategies and procedures to maintain ongoing data integrity. Liaise with the various data warehouses and application owners to reconcile data sources in order to ensure integrity of reports.
  • Analyze user's reporting requirements.
  • Develop report layout and work with IT to populate with data
  • Design ad hoc reports as required.
  • Produce periodic reports as defined by SMT to include daily, weekly, monthly and senior management reports.
  • Analyze reports and draw key insights that are reviewed by management weekly.
  • Researching and analyzing quantitative data to support the International Business Unit.
  • Identifying and initiating changes in reports to keep pace with an ever changing environment while maintaining deadlines .
  • Look for new business opportunities.
  • Work with Business Risk in alerting Revenue Assurance of possible fraud or revenue leakage.
  • Analyze financial reports from the Commercial Point of View.
  • Perform market and competition analysis regularly.


Minimal Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA)
  • 3-4 years relevant experience in the telecommunications industry
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to articulate progress, issues and recommendations in a concise manner.
  • Superb attention to detail, strong analytical skills and the ability to deliver results to tight deadlines in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and on own initiative with the desire to learn new skills.
  • Skilled user of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
