The Claims Customer Service representative is responsible for obtaining information from Insureds and Third Parties along with processing and settling small insurance claims promptly and accurately.
Job Description:
Reviews insurance contracts to determine coverage and liability.
Deals with walk-in-clients and provides assistance with claim reports, as well as responding to queries.
Prepares insurance claims forms and related documents to required standard.
Surveys damaged vehicles for walk-in-clients.
Records claims information on the computer system ensuring that data is accurate and complete.
Collates all necessary documents for claims settlement and prepare Claim files.
Evaluates and settle claims within limits of authority.
Contacts clients, claimants, experts, and service providers on timely basis to facilitate the claims process and quality customer service.
Liaises with brokers/insureds to obtain outstanding claim reports
Maintains register of reported claims by third parties and provides systematic follow up to Brokers/Insureds on outstanding claim reports.
Maintains proper records as required.
Supports the development and maintenance of a team environment by performing other related duties.
Qualifications/Experience:
At least three (3) years’ experience in a similar position
Minimum of five (5) CSEC passes including English and Mathematics, and two (2) CAPE passes
Diploma Claims Administration or Diploma Claims Adjusting/Investigation, or at least three years’ experience in Claims or an equivalent combination or working experience and education
