Island Tiles is seeking a diligent and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and providing strategic financial insights to support our business growth.

Responsibilities:

 Manage all aspects of the company's financial accounting, reporting, and analysis.

Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.

Reconcile bank statements, accounts, and ledgers on a regular basis.

Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.

Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Monitor cash flow and financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.

Collaborate with the management team to develop financial strategies and objectives aligned with company goals.

Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.

Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations.

Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors as necessary.

Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes affecting financial management.

Qualifications:

 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or ACCA certification preferred.

Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in a similar industry or small business environment.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. Experience with QuickBooks or similar programs is a plus.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Knowledge of Barbados tax laws and regulations is desirable.
