Payroll Officer

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITES: • Payrolls and Reconciliations. • Statements for statutory deductions • NIS benefit forms • Journal and Payment vouchers. • Accounting Reports. • Prepares TD4s for all staff • Monthly Accounts Reconciliations • Prepares vouchers of staff deductions

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITES:

• Timely and accurately prepares various Payrolls and Reconciliations.
• Prepares statements for statutory deductions and remits these deductions to third parties for payment..
• Prepares and submits all NIS, Maternity Sickness, Retirement and other benefit forms to N.I.B.
• Accurately and timely prepares journal and payment vouchers.
• Prepares management accounting information and other special reports in a clear and concise format.
• Prepares TD4s for all staff and disburses them by the stipulated deadlines.
• Reconciles on a monthly basis Staff Debtors, Staff Loan Accounts
• Prepares timely and relevant vouchers of staff deductions to be remitted to various parties.
• Performs any other duties requested by the Finance Manager/Finance Supervisor/ Assistant Accountant.

JOB SPECIFICATION:

Qualification / education:

• Completion of CAT or Level 1 ACCA
• Five (5) GCE/CXC Ordinary level passes including Mathematics, English Language and Accounting.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Micropay experience

Skills / experience:

• Must be organized, detail-oriented, persistent and committed, able to cope well in stress-related environments and possess computer literacy skills.
• Ability to perform simple analyses on numerical data and accounting information.
• Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
