Overview

As a Business Development Officer, an established ICT Infrastructure Company, you will spearhead efforts to expand our client base and market share in the dynamic and competitive IT infrastructure sector. This role is pivotal in identifying new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and driving the growth of our Information & Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure, products & services.

Core Responsibilities:

         Market Analysis and Strategy Formulation:

  • Conduct detailed market research specific to IT cabling and infrastructure.
  • Develop strategic business plans targeting niche markets in the ICT sector, focusing on cabling solutions for data centers, offices, and commercial spaces.

        Client Engagement and Relationship Management:

  • Identify and engage potential clients in the IT and related sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target industries.
  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring alignment with the company’s standards and client expectations.
  • Prepare and submit proposals/bids
  • Manage the review of products within our offerings
  • Coordinating the updating of prices and website offerings

         Project Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with the technical team to ensure client requirements are clearly understood and met.
  • Coordinate with project managers to oversee the successful implementation of cabling projects.

         

Brand and Service Promotion:

  • Leading the development of marketing & promotional materials, campaigns specific to our business
  • Represent the company at industry-specific trade shows, conferences, and networking events.

                

         Sales and Revenue Targets:

  • Develop and execute strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Prepare detailed reports on business development activities and sales outcomes.
  • Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements

          

         Financial Planning & Management

  • Assisting in financial planning and budget management related to business development activities.
  • Analyzing sales and other reports that give insight into how a company can make adjustments to improve performance.

          

         Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor business development staff
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field; additional technical background in IT or telecommunications is a plus.
  • Proven experience in business development, IT is a plus, telecommunications, or related technical fields.
  • In-depth understanding of IT cabling systems and the technology infrastructure market.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in related field
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with an ability to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
