WAREHOUSE CLERK

The selected candidate will join a dynamic team and share the responsibility of a variety of warehouse tasks such as ordering, receiving and processing incoming stock.

Job Summary

The selected candidate will join a dynamic team and share the responsibility of a variety of warehouse tasks such as ordering, receiving and processing incoming stock. Coordinating orders to be filled, managing, organizing and retrieving stock are also functions associated with the role.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring inventory control measures, such as FIFO
• Maintaining inventory records by recording and keeping track of stock to avoid stock depletion or overstocking
• Coordinating the filling of orders to be dispatched from the warehouse 
• Practicing and observing Occupational Health and Safety standards
• Liaising with the purchasing team to place orders for goods needed and following up with suppliers on delivery
• Liaising with the warehouse supervisors to facilitate stock transfers and/or receivables

Requirements, Competencies and Qualifications

• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Knowledge of food health and safety standards
• Knowledge of inventory management
• Keen attention to details
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or as a part of a team
• High School Diploma
• Minimum 1 years’ experience in a similar environment
